For your wellness journey
You are not alone.
You got it all.
You're a leader. You're beautiful, intelligent, and powerful—but you're also human.
You're a survivor. You’re tired of feeling anxious and exhausted.
So maybe you feel a little burned out? Striving to thrive, but exhausted.
That means you can't just keep going without taking care of yourself. And you deserve to feel like the best version of yourself.
I get it. As a Black woman in leadership who is also a survivor, I know how hard it can be to take care of yourself when every day feels like one long race against the clock. There's so much pressure to succeed—and judgement of failure. It's so easy to forget about yourself and your needs, especially when everyone around you seems like they've got everything figured out.
You are not alone.
If you've been feeling this way, we want to help. We know what it's like to be in a career where the demands are high and the rewards aren't always there—and we want to help you find the space to connect with yourself again.
Our mission is to help you find peace, so that you can keep going strong in your career while also feeling good about yourself—so stop wasting time worrying about what's going wrong with your body. I see coaching as a way to help our most vulnerable leaders become more resilient in the face of challenging situations. Gathering insights from my own experiences in various forms and degrees of trauma, I’ve created a powerful yet doable approach to thriving after dark events.
Our personalized programs will help you learn:
-
to set boundaries that allow you focus on what matters most without letting other people's expectations take over your life
-
to overcome obstacles using meditation to center your mind and give you clarity when things get difficult
-
to understand how your body responds to stress so that you can make better decisions about how to manage your health
-
to overcome adversity using mindfulness. if something goes wrong, you know exactly how to handle it and come back stronger than before
WHAT TO EXPECT
-
Seeking therapy or medical attention is important after a traumatic event. It took me a long time to get over what happened to me. It's hard to feel like you can trust someone again. Although this program is designed to aid in the reduction of stress, and anxiety due to trauma, it is important to see a licensed professional to help you work through any past elements that still affect you. Therapy can also teach you great life skills in communication and taking care of yourself. I am not a licensed therapist, but I can provide you resources and support you on your search for a therapist if needed.
Coaching is different from therapy in that therapy focuses on processing emotions related to past events. Coaching focuses on creating empowered safe spaces to exist in your present and future, with actionable steps to take and guided by your insight. This style of coaching focuses on using mind body medicine techniques such as yoga, alternative therapies, and healing through activities of joy.
Finding the support system to hold you throughout your transformation is key. You need people who will hold you as the biggest, best, and brightest version of yourself even if you may not think so. It's important, also, to find friends, allies, mentors, or community groups that you identify with and feel comfortable to talk to.
-
When you are ready to explore new methods in addressing your situation, and feel you may need something comparable to talk therapy, coaching is here to help you determine what it is you truly want, need and why.
I understand avoiding conflict and confrontation. Dreading setting goals because they scare you, and having no belief or confidence that you can achieve them. The fear of failure puts you in a paralyzed and powerless state where you feel like you have no control over your life or pursuits. The only way to create the life or business that you really want is by taking charge and using your voice to take control of your destiny.
One of our core beliefs is that every negative event can be turned into an opportunity. The version of you that is whole, healthy, and thriving is there for you live every day. It's the process of taking your aspirations and turning them into specific and actionable goals, providing you with a clear system to reach them with accountability, support, and a sense of joy making them last a lifetime
-
Now that you have this view of yourself, it is time to dive in and take action on the things that you want out of life. If there was a situation that you were in before that left you feeling stuck or trapped, now that you are a free, whole, healing woman, what actions would you have taken? Express that side of you that wants to take action and let it lead the way. This is the time to turn that negativity into ferocity.
Create your 90 day plan and take off. Uncover what wants to be expressed. Take consistent action. Live boldly.

Joy is a mandatory, one hour a day practice for my clients. Previously, it was a 10 minute long exercise and then I noticed that’s not nearly enough because ideally it should be practiced for as long as you are capable of.
The goal is for you to join a community and/or find activities that bring you joy. Whatever that may be, find it, learn it and love it. Journaling, affirmations, making music and being in nature are few of my personal favourite suggestions but there’s plenty to choose from. Make a menu of the things that bring you joy in all forms. Something nice, something a little bit naughty. Nothing dangerous. We are learning to blow off steam in ways that do the least damage.

We will explore healing modalities such as…
Yoga
Reiki
Emotional freedom tapping
Meditation
Positive intelligence
-
Mindfulness is the act of being present in the moment and bringing awareness to how it feels in your body. WE will explore what it looks like to be mindful of what you are consuming in you daily life and how it makes you feel. Growth in this area is ongoing, but we will develop the mental skill and fitness using proven techniques in neuropsychology focusing on emotional intelligence. As this is an ongoing practice, you will start to develop a new perspective and looking at situations from a clearer point of view.
-
Physical activity and physical expression in a way that makes you feel empowered and determined is a necessity. Self awareness, self confidence, and self defense, are all key in this phase. This is about expressing what you may have felt too stifled, afraid, or embarrassed to express before. Physical activity helps with boosting mood and emotional regulation. Some activities i suggest are rage rooms, yoga, pole fitness, dancing, jujitsu, judo, swimming, and tai chi. Focus on what brings joy, clarity, and confidence.

Join the brown body wellness community members area for resources, workshops, and events exclusively for the community. We believe that when you take time for yourself—when you take care of yourself—you're actually doing something for all of us by leading by example: by showing others that it's okay not to be perfect all the time; by showing others that there's no shame in being human; by showing others that if we all work together as community members and friends, we can make our lives better for ourselves and each other.
